The Beatrix Farrand Alliance seeks to foster meaningful communication and an exchange of ideas among the community of professional designers, horticulturists, and passionate enthusiasts interested in this groundbreaking designer and pioneering woman.

The Beatrix Farrand Alliance seeks to help the many professionals involved in restoring and preserving her existing gardens, providing channels to share seeds, plant sources for rare species, and heirloom cultivars (along with effective modern substitutions), and share years of practical experience.

The Beatrix Farrand Alliance website will be a place to publish adapted planting plans, current photos, as well as recently discovered archival and historical resources. The site will feature a finding aid for the rich archival material used in the documentary Beatrix Farrand’s American Landscapes, and build on this collection to create a central clearinghouse for Farrand information worldwide. The platform’s focused community forums will serve as a lively online meeting place for anyone interested in Farrand’s life and work.
